Are you a group of community members or an organization with an idea on how to improve some type of problem? Is the problem greater than your own ability to solve? Emily specializes in program development/management, implementation and evaluation. Her passion is ensuring organizations are working with communities, not doing to communities. She offers project management services and strategic development across a broad sector of organizations. She specializes in partnership development and creating a continuity of care across communities while utilizing tools to develop through collective impact. She offers group facilitation and strategy formation, including funding development, recommendations and logical models or strategic plans. Emily also conducts training and technical assistance workshops for a wide array of topics. Founded within maternal child and public health services, she has expanded to serve education, mental health, and the arts. She has served communities across the nation and frequently engages through virtual meeting spaces and adds up road or airline miles as needed.

The Blueprint, developed with a public health lens, aims to increase local capacity to implement community-driven approaches to support chest/breastfeeding, centered on the needs of populations disproportionately impacted by structural barriers that leads to low rates of breastfeeding. The goal of this resource is to ensure that chest/breastfeeding support services are continuous, accessible, and coordinated, and that community spaces are consistently supportive of chest/breastfeeding families. The blueprint is intended for any local-level organization and individual that interacts with pregnant and postpartum families.

24 page publication to advance equity in breastfeeding rates, in 2014 the CDC’s Division of Nutrition, Physical Activity, and Obesity funded the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) through a cooperative agreement to implement the Reducing Disparities in Breastfeeding through Peer and Professional Support Project (Breastfeeding Project). Through the project, Lead Consultant to support NACCHO which provided $2.9 million in funding, more than 1,500 hours of technical assistance, and training to 69 local health departments (LHDs) and community-based organizations (grantees) to implement 72 breastfeeding support projects between January 2015 and June 2016. The project’s goal was to increase breastfeeding rates among black and underserved women within communities.

REACH strategies aim to improve health, prevent chronic diseases, and reduce health disparities. Funded recipients work among racial and ethnic groups with the highest risk, or burden, of chronic disease. The program's goal is to make healthy eating and active living more accessible and affordable to priority populations. REACH programs work specifically among people who are Black or African American, Hispanic or Latino, Asian American, Native Hawaiian/Other Pacific Islander, American Indian, and Alaska Natives.
